Some facts#
- The length of working day is different in different countries. Most common values are 7, 7.5 and 8 hours.
- The list of public holidays, which are non-working days, changes from country to country. However, there are some popular transnational holidays like Christmas (25 December), Easter (movable holiday) or New Year (1 January).
- Working time is regulated only in the case of the employment contract. In the case of the self-employed (own business) or contract work, the concept of working time has no application, because formally there is no employment in this case.
