Some facts#

  • Critical temperature is the temperature above which the density of the substance in the gas and liquid state becomes identical.
  • After reaching the critical temperature condensation of the gas becomes impossible.
  • The critical temperature is specific for given substance. For example, the critical temperature of hydrogen (H2) is -240.17 °C.
