Some facts#

  • The length of working day is different in different countries. Most common values are 7, 7.5 and 8 hours.
  • The list of public holidays, which are non-working days, changes from country to country. However, there are some popular transnational holidays like Christmas (25 December), Easter (movable holiday) or New Year (1 January).
  • Working time is regulated only in the case of the employment contract. In the case of the self-employed (own business) or contract work, the concept of working time has no application, because formally there is no employment in this case.

What is the meaning of each calculator field ?#

  • ⚠ WARNING! This calculator finds out number of working hours including the last day in given period. It means, that the last day from range (if it's not day off) is treated as working day and it is included into calculations.
  • Start and end dates. Enter the date range for which you want to perform a calculation here. For example, if you're interested in earnings in April, then set start date to 1.04 and end date to the last day of month i.e. 30.04 in this case. Please remember that dates range is a closed interval. It means that last day is also included into calculations.
  • Work hours per day. This is long of your working day. Most common scenarios are 7, 7.5 or 8 hours.
  • Your daily or hourly earnings. This is the amount you earn for your work. You can specify daily or hourly rate.
  • Days, when you work. Here you can select which days of the week you are working. The most popular model is a work from Monday to Friday. However, if you work on other days, then you can tell about it to Calculla here.
  • Do you work on holidays. This field determines if public holidays are treated as working or non-working days.
  • Your region. This is place, where do you live. Calculla needs this info to adjust holidays list to your region.
